Design for Brand Identity isn’t a magic design process, it’s the magic that happens when a business owner uncovers all the elements that make them unique and then applies them to their design and marketing strategy.

Add SPARK to your brand.
Branding is not just for big business. Small businesses need it to stand out from the crowd and differentiate themselves in competitive or over-saturated markets.
We can help you define your brand identity to give your business the best start possible – or – redefine your brand to spark new growth.
But, wait… what is branding? All I need is a logo…
Branding is more than a pretty logo that you put on a business card or product packaging… while the logo may be the foundation, a brand identity is built as an entire cohesive system of visuals that stem from your company’s personality, values and goals. This system increases customer recognition and builds trust with your market.
For example, think about the last time you strolled down an aisle at the supermarket, shuffled through the stack of business cards on your desk, or flipped through a local publication filled with ads. What stood out to you?
Successful brands stand out with strong, clear visuals that subconsciously give you a sense of who they are or what they stand for. AND, with these consistent visuals, you’ll be more likely to recognize them and have a positive association when you see them again – or, better, you’ll look for or remember the visuals that stood out to you the next time you need to make a purchase decision.
Why hire a designer?
Just about anyone with a computer can create graphics, but without research and strategy – and a well defined brand spec – your business’s outward appearance can quickly become a hodge-podge. Perhaps you bought a stock logo, then used a business card template available from an online printer, then you let the art department of the publication you purchased ad space from design its layout, etc, etc. This lack of cohesion will water down your ability to create trust and recognition and simply result in poor communication to your target market. And the goal of any visual design is clear communication. Clear communication leads to the sale.
Our Brand Identity Creation Process
Discovery
It all starts with a get-to-know-you questionnaire, designed to lead our discussion and helps us uncover your story, your goals and personal preferences. It is the springboard to create something that uniquely represents you.
Research
Then we proceed with research into your target market and your industry or niche. How do we make you stand out in this crowd? How can we play to the psychology of your potential customers?
Concept
The next phase is brainstorming – sketches and sketches and some more sketches of your new logo.
Revision
We take the best logo concepts and polish them for your consideration. We ask for your feedback.
Refinement
The chosen concept is fleshed out further and finalized, down to the colors, fonts, so that a cohesive style guide can be delivered – the foundation to every future piece of marketing collateral.

Still have burning questions?
Absolutely! Sometimes people come to us with a fairly clear idea of how they’d like to represent themselves, and that’s great. Not only can we polish that idea, we’ll handle all the things you may not think about, like: how it will appear on small devices, colors, etc.
The easy answer is no. Working with a designer is a process of discovery and communication. It’s not like perusing your favorite store, making a selection and adding it to your shopping cart. You can take a look at our portfolio to get an idea of the range of our finished projects. And throughout the process, you’ll get to give your feedback – we want you to be happy and create something you’re proud to show off!
Our questionnaire can be filled out with no obligation – and we’ll have a chat to see if we both feel we’re a good fit for your project. Fill it out now →
We like to allow 3-6 weeks. Why? Ideas don’t come out of thin air, so we need time to do the appropriate research and ultimately create nice drawings. AND, you need to participate in the process! You’ll need to take time to review and give us feedback.
